At the heart of the Datastream system is a CA-IDMS database and that system has made extensive use of Cogito tools for CA-IDMS for over ten years. Crucial to the system performance is the EZ-Synchro product which permits Datastream to split the DLIVE application processing across multiple CA-IDMS central versions with full buffer coherency, and EZ-Synchro CrossMVS option, which provides buffer coherency across multiple CPUs without the need of Sysplex or a Sysplex coupling facility. Datastream also uses EZ-Megabuf Sequential to boost the performance of many batch processes and CA-IDMS utilities.
